Hello Heroes and welcome to another exciting episode of One Shot.

I'm James Damato, your game master.

This week we're continuing our Feng Shui 2 series with Chris Sims.

Feng Shui 2 is available now on Kickstarter and it funded 20 minutes after it went up

so you don't have to worry about whether or not you're going to get this game.

All you should be thinking about is how good this game is going to be.

The original Feng Shui is my favorite role-playing system of all time.

It's the role-playing system that inspired me to play other role-playing systems.

It introduced me to story gaming and gave me the first combat experience that I would actually describe as fast-paced.

Since the original Feng Shui was such a revelation to me,

I was incredibly nervous and excited about the new edition.

Thankfully, the new edition doesn't change what didn't need fixing.

I really liked the core mechanic for

Feng Shui and it stayed the same. It allows for tremendous successes and horrifying

failures. This allows characters to be strong and competent most of the time

while still feeling vulnerable throughout the game. It also kept Feng Shui's

Initiative system which is one of my favorite parts of the old game and what I used to pitch the system to so many people.

The areas where Feng Shui did change made it a more modern game that's a lot more streamlined.
