0:31.4	And, you know, one of the things that was sort of a turning point for me
0:35.4	in sort of my evolution of thought.
0:38.9	You know, when you come to realizations

0:44.1	sometimes really the opposite of what society generally believes,
0:48.5	you have to kind of check and make sure you're not just,
0:50.8	I have to, I shouldn't say for you,
0:52.3	I have to check and make sure it's not just some sort of psychological reaction formation.
0:58.5	So I kind of hated the welfare state.
1:02.1	I grew up in a very poor neighborhood among welfare people.
1:06.2	And this is in England and in Canada.
1:10.2	That's sort of the two major places that I lived.
1:12.9	I lived in England.
1:14.0	I was born in Ireland, but grew up in England until I was 11,
