You're down in Los Angeles, City of Angels, they call it. How is it?

I'll explain why I went to Los Angeles, the new Beverly Theater, which, by the way, is famous as the theater that Quentin Tarantino owns.

They put out their schedule, and in the month of March, which is the month that we are in,

they announced they were doing a double feature of two Jack Benny movies. Buck Benny rides again

and artists and models, not to be confused with the Martin and Lewis film artists and models.

It's the Jack Benny film. And I saw this announcement, and I'm sitting on the

couch and I start shaking, and I say to my partner, I don't know how to explain this to you, but I feel

like I need to go to Los Angeles for this. I need to literally travel to the other coast. And I

truly don't know how to explain this to you either, Luke, but it's like sometimes something will

happen involving one of one's extremely

niche interests, and one feels, well, this is the only time in the world this is going to happen.

So I feel like I need to bear witness to this.

And adding to the fun of it, Buck Benny Rides Again and Artisan Models are not particularly

good movies, but they are, they are Jack Benny

vehicles. And the thought of going to the Jack Benny double feature on beautiful 35 millimeter film

with a crowd of my fellow Benny heads, it was just overwhelming. So I did it. And I had a great time.

Folks may remember that a few months ago,

I did a solo documentary episode on Eddie Rochester Anderson, who was Jack Benny's

co-star on TV and radio. His daughter was there. I couldn't believe it. Eddie Anderson's

daughter was in the audience alongside the president of the international Jack Benny fan club.
