Summary

Its no secret I’ve been weathering a brutal storm lately. And it got me thinking about how every storm I’ve ever experienced before has been in my favor. Always.

There is always a lesson that is there in the pain. We can’t always see it, especially when we are deep in the suffering… and this is hen we need to rely on the KNOWING that this too, is happening FOR us.

In today’s episode I walk you through some of my past tough seasons and what I learned from them, in hopes to inspire you to dig into your own tough seasons and see how you came out the other side better. And, if you haven’t come out the other side yet, my hope is that this episode will open up some space for you to look for the lesson, to find the growth that comes with the growing pains.

Hang in there, and keep growing, keep evolving, keep raising your own bar. Thats what all this is for after all.

Love you, mean it!

See you inside💥

So I have had several tough things in my life, several heartbreaks and moments of grief, periods of grief, right?

0:08.0

That I look back now and I know formed me, molded me and shaped me into who I am. They made me stronger,

0:16.4

they made me better, they made me more resilient, because right now I feel like I

0:20.6

am in one of those tough seasons and I don't know what the lesson is yet clearly

0:25.8

but I know that there is a lesson there. I know that this is serving me and just the sheer

0:32.2

knowingness of that keeps me open to healing. Well, hi, it's so lovely to see you here. How are you? I'll tell you how I am

0:58.5

freaking great. I'm freaking great and it feels good to say that because starting around

1:06.0

Thanksgiving through the end of the year and even into the first week of this year

1:10.0

but especially December was incredibly challenging.

1:14.8

I did the podcast episode on how to, what did I call it,

1:19.6

like survive or navigate something about a season of depression.

1:25.0

I was drowning and thankfully I found a life raft that I was able to sort of cling to to get me through it but

1:37.8

hooey that was brutal and I'm sort of coming out the other side right now. I still feel like there's kind of water all around me, but I can see the shore and I'm like right there. Right, I just got to keep swimming. And the waves aren't as massive and powerful as they

1:58.8

crash into me. So today I want to talk to you about how life is always happening for you, no matter what you're experiencing, and that I do feel like our toughest seasons, our toughest times,

2:14.6

are actually some of our biggest teachers.

2:17.4

And I've got some evidence for that.

2:19.4

And so in case, one, you're currently

2:21.9

going through a tough season, or two, you've had heartbreak, devastation, grief, loneliness, anxiety, depression, anything in the past, an event that happened that you're not really

2:36.4

able to let go of and you, maybe you're mad at someone else for something that they did to you. Maybe you're still

2:45.8

grieving the end of a relationship. Maybe you're angry at yourself for something that you did that change things that you wish that

2:55.5

you if you could go back you would do differently. I think the reframe that has

3:01.5

been magic for me and has been part of the life raft of this season
