Kathy Cunning Mallor, retired FBI agent and profiler.

I'm a retired detective sergeant with the Washington State Patrol and I was with the Missing and Exploded Children's Task Force. And now I'm an author of a book. Just got a new book coming out. What does that mean?

The Ugly Underneath.

So when working crimes against children, you see a lot of horrible things.

And I called it The Ugly.

So it actually has two meanings. So the ugly underneath is when you go in your day-to-day life in society and most people

don't see the ugly that is actually underneath the different faces you walk by.

And then also for myself is I work in those cases,
