The difference between a beat versus a scene, maybe in a scene, there's a value shift,

but in a beat, there's a change in tactic. That is when we start to look at this, can we argue

that maybe it's not a value shift in the first chapter? It's actually a change in tactic,

and there's actually a value shift only in the change of one scene, two chapters.

So pausing there on the change in tactics, so she's referring to

if his goal is to stay off Vernon's radar and to knock it in trouble,

it's like now that Dudley's out here with me and bullying me, how am I going to get around this

to still accomplish my goal? So his tactic changes, but nothing big picture necessarily is changing.
