President Joe Biden is planning to hold calls with a few groups of Congressional Democrats

through the weekend.

The meetings come as support from House Democrats for its re-election campaign is

slowly dwindling.

And the New York Times reported Friday that donors are freezing $90 million to a pro-Biden super PAC over concerns

about his fitness for office. Despite this, Biden's campaign is forging ahead.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump says he would like to announce his running mate during the Republican National Convention.

On the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton show, he says it's down to at least five candidates.

It's like a highly sophisticated version of the

apprentice. Yeah. Okay. If you think about it and I'd say four people, you know four

or five people. It's been a brutally hot summer in the US and some of the hottest days are yet to come.

Next week the eastern part of the country could be in for an extremely dangerous heat wave as cities in the West Coast shatter

all-time record highs. This as half a million customers in Texas may not have power restored

until next week in the aftermath of Hurricane Barrel.
