The Biden administration is working to surge deliveries of weapons to Ukraine in its final days in office.

That's according to a senior administration official who said a concerted effort is underway to put Kyiv on strong footing going into 2025.

President Joe Biden plans to announce an expected $500 million aid package in the coming days that

will pull equipment out of the U.S. military's stocks.

It comes after sharp criticism from President-elect Donald Trump over the U.S. allowing Ukraine

to use U.S. provided weapons to strike inside Russia.

The U.S. Justice Department and the city of Louisville, Kentucky, have reached an agreement to

reform the city's police force, according to officials.
