Donald Trump will formally accept the nomination for president tonight after surviving an assassination

at since last weekend.

CNN's David Rind is in Milwaukee on the final night of the Republican National

Convention.

So if I'm in Pfizer forum where Trump will give his speech later tonight and there are tons of balloons hoisted above the floor just waiting to be dropped and sources with direct knowledge of the remarks told CNN that Trump has been intensely focused on

this acceptance speech, even personally dictating and writing portions of it.

We can expect to hear a lot about the assassination attempt, and Trump's belief that he survived

thanks to divine intervention which is actually something I've heard a lot from Trump

supporters here in Milwaukee this week. Do you believe that that was the case?

Absolutely I mean the way that he turned his head sliding Do you believe that that was the case? Absolutely.

Vice President Kamala Harris weighed in on JD Vance's speech at the

R&C during a rally in North Carolina today. She said that while Trump's

running-maid speech was compelling, it wasn't the full story.

And Harris criticized Vance's party's stance

on abortion and reproductive rights,

and said the Republican Party's call for unity was hollow.

Because their plans are extreme and they are divisive.

You cannot claim you stand for unity if you are pushing an agenda that deprives whole groups of Americans of basic freedoms, opportunity, and dignity.
