Former President Donald Trump

railed against Vice President Kamala Harris during his news conference from Marlago in Florida today.

He says he's agreed to debate Harris three times in September, and quote, hasn't recalibrated strategy

at all since she became the Democratic presidential

nominee. Trump accused her of being quote weak on crime, having quote open

borders, and downplayed abortion as an election issue. And he said he hasn't been campaigning lately because he's waiting until

after the Democratic National Convention.

Because I'm leading by a lot and because I'm letting do a news conference.

You know why she's not doing it?

Because she can't do a news conference.

She doesn't know how to do a news conference.

She's not smart enough to do a news conference.

And I'm sorry, we need smart people to lead this country.

Meanwhile Harris spoke to UAW members at a campaign event in Detroit alongside her

running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. The true measure of the strength of a leader is not based on who you beat down,

it's based on who you lift up.

All three major U.S. indexes made gains after the latest unemployment data from the

Labor Department. It showed first-time claims for unemployment benefits fell

last week from 250,000 to 233,000,

beating economists expectations. That helped push the Dow up nearly 700 points this afternoon.
