The families of hostages held in Gaza are anxiously waiting for a vote on a ceasefire deal,

reached between Israel and Hamas on Wednesday.

Israel's security cabinet approved the deal earlier today, and the country's wider cabinet is expected to meet for a vote.

Phase one of the deal is expected to start at some point on Sunday and last for six weeks.

It includes a pause in the war and in exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners

held in Israeli custody.

Moshe Levy, whose brother-in-law was taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, 2023,

is pushing for the latter negotiations to happen sooner.

Every hostage is a humanitarian case at this point.

And so we can't expect them to keep waiting for decision-makers

to decide whether X, Y, Z is appropriate for a deal.

I want to thank President Trump for his commitment to work with us to find a solution that keeps
