Prosecutors questioned a key witness in former President Donald Trump's hush money case today.

Attorney Keith Davidson.

He used to be adult film star Stormy Daniels' lawyer,

and today he explained how he negotiated settlement payments

on behalf of Daniels ahead of the 2016 election

to keep her quiet about an alleged affair with Trump. of the was suppressed through an agreement with Michael Cohen.

So Michael Cohen arranges to pay her effectively hush money.

That's not a crime.

The issue, though, is that this was done to help.

Prosecutors allege Trump win the election election and also they falsified documents

in order to facilitate this payment.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to the charges and while the trial was happening, a full panel of appellate judges denied one of Trump's attempts to stop the trial.

And separately, Trump also railed against the judge's gag order against him on truth social, saying, quote, I am the only presidential candidate in history to be gagged, all caps.

This whole trial is rigged.
