The Israeli military says it's striking terror targets in Lebanon after Hezbollah fired two projectiles toward Israeli-occupied territory today.

Hezbollah said it was in response to repeated Israeli strikes in Lebanon since a ceasefire agreement went into effect last week.

CNN's Clarissa award is in Beirut.

Broadly speaking, the ceasefire has been holding, but there have been violations and they have been regular.

We spoke to a UN peacekeeping source who said that he estimates there have

been roughly 100 violations perpetrated by Israel. Israel has said that it is not violating the

ceasefire, that it is simply enforcing the ceasefire. And tonight, Hasbullah taking responsibility for

firing two projectiles into an area

that is controlled by Israel, known as the Sheba Farms. It is officially under international law

viewed as being part of Syria. And according to the IDF, those two projectiles fell in open areas

and didn't cause any harm.

But certainly the fear is that this could precipitate some kind of an escalation

that would render this ceasefire null and void.

During his second term, President-elect Donald Trump is widely expected to privatize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

These giants are worth a combined $146 billion as of the third quarter of this year, and they guarantee 70% of America's mortgages.

But some economists warn that this would be overly complicated,

especially in a housing market strained by stubbornly high mortgage rates with a longstanding supply shortage and soaring home prices.

The expert state could also make it more expensive for many Americans to borrow money to purchase a home.

Trump's first administration tried and failed to rest Fannie and Freddie from the government

conservatorship that's been in place since the 2008 financial crisis.

It's shaping up to be a busy week at the Supreme Court.
