Hello, hello everyone. I don't know if you're like me, but if you are then some of the more annoying

problems that you have in the garden come from your soil. And this has been something that,

especially in my earlier years as a grower, I just struggled with so much because I truly didn't have a deep understanding of soil still learning today.

But back then it was very was very very beginner and level

understanding and so I made all sorts of common mistakes so today I want to go

through six different problems that you might have with your soil the

causes of those problems, and then the solution to those

problems.

So our first problem is going to be your soil dries out extremely quickly, and that's

going to be a problem that's common to soils that

have too much sand in them and I don't mean literal sand although it could be the

case I just mean particles that are large enough that they let water

through very quickly and they don't hold on to water very much. So if that's your

problem, your solution is going to be super well rotted compost.

Add that to your bed.

Probably if you have really sandy soil you're probably going to want to add

anywhere from three to six inches

and really work it into the soil that's going to help your

water retention and then what you can also do is you can throw some mulch on top.
