Since buying Boardmasters Festival for just £1 to now attracting 50,000 people each year.
It hasn’t been smooth sailing over the past few years though: adverse weather conditions forced cancellation of Boardmasters in 2019, and the global pandemic put an end to all 2020 plans.
Andrew is no quitter though, and like all successful entrepreneurs he has pivoted, planned and stayed positive during a tough patch.
We chatted openly about the highs, lows and pressures of the industry, and I loved sharing some thoughts with someone who is clearly passionate about festivals and events.
