With all events in 2020 grinding to a halt,

I'll be bringing people back together, but in a different way.

In this episode, I'm talking to the man behind the massively successful boardmaster's festival, Andrew Topham.

The festival has grown from a small surfing competition to one of the biggest festivals in the UK,

hosting 50,000 people in UK each year.

Andrew has had a tough couple of years.

In 2019, a storm put a stop to Boardmasters Festival 24 hours before the gates opened.

In 2020, the festivals cancelled again due to COVID-19. It was great to hear about his positivity through turbulent times.

Here's a lot to say about getting involved in the exciting events industry and what type of person it takes to be successful.

Andrew, hey buddy, how you doing, mate?

Yeah, very good, Dutch has things.

Yeah, very good, very good. Are you all settled down after a crazy summer?

Yeah, we've just actually finished.

We launched a new glamping event this year, and we finished that on Monday.

So it's a slightly chilled week after that, it was running for a month, which was a change for us.
