0:17.7	A lot of these solutions need to happen on a large scale, right?
0:20.9	They're actions that countries and companies need to take, and one person can't reverse
0:25.0	climate change on their own.
0:27.0	But there are ways to make more climate friendly choices in your home and in how you get
0:31.3	around.
0:32.3	NPR climate correspondent Jeff Brady has been covering this, and he says it's all about
0:36.8	electrification.
0:38.5	That is switching from burning fossil fuels to using electricity that's produced with climate
0:44.7	friendly energy.
0:45.7	That's mostly solar, wind, and nuclear power.
0:50.5	Scientists tell us that to have a chance of avoiding the worst effects of climate change,
0:54.8	like catastrophic flooding and deadly heat waves, the world really needs to leave more
0:59.9	fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas in the ground.
1:03.3	And if you think about all the things you do now that burn fossil fuels, you know, maybe
1:07.4	drive a car or use a boiler or a gas stove.
1:10.9	If you switch to electricity for each of those, you'll fix the problem from your end.
1:17.2	And then collectively, the US and other countries were all in the process of making the electricity
1:21.9	grid that supplies all of that energy cleaner.
