The stage is being set for what may be the only debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

The presidential candidates will square off in Philadelphia tomorrow.

This weekend a New York Times-Siana College poll showed the two candidates about evenly matched nationally.

But 28% of likely voters say they feel they need to learn more about Harris.

CNN political analyst Ron Brownstein tells us what that means for her campaign.

The initial impressions of Harris have been good or favorability is high, but a lot of people

feel that they need to know more about her.

And so in many ways, her task at the debate is less to make a case against Trump

than to make a case for herself and to show voters both what she would do, and that she has the energy and competence to handle the job of president.

Meanwhile, Republicans and Democrats will battle it out on Capitol Hill today, releasing dueling documents about the deadly U.S. withdrawal

from Afghanistan in August 2021, with Republicans pointing fingers at the Biden administration

for hastily pulling out of the country, and Democrats blaming the Biden administration for hastily pulling out of the country and Democrats blaming the Trump administration for striking a deal with the Taliban that set into motion the U.S. withdrawal.

The hunt continues this morning for a man suspected of opening fire on I-75 in Kentucky this weekend.

He's accused of firing into 12 cars on the north and southbound lanes of the interstate on Saturday.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says that Joseph Couch is their suspect.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous. Now law

enforcement has been focused on one specific area near where the shooting took

place but this is very rugged, wooded terrain.

Police have said that there are a lot of trees.

It is difficult to get around, and that is making it very challenging for them
