Minnesota Governor Tim Walsh got to officially introduce himself as a Democrats nominee for vice president last night.

This is a big part about what this election is about.

Freedom!

Wals is a two-term governor, but he leaned into earlier portions of his resume at the Democratic National Convention,

presenting himself as a former high school teacher, football coach, and Hunter.

He also used his speech to make the case that Democrats are the

party of freedom. When Republicans use the word freedom, they mean that the

government should be free to invade your doctor's office.

Corporations free to pollute your air and water.

And banks, free to take advantage of customers.

But when we Democrats talk about freedom,

we mean the freedom to make a better life for yourself and the people that you love.

The night also included speeches from former President Bill Clinton,

former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Oprah Winfrey.

Now outside the convention, leaders from the uncommitted national movement held a sit-in,

after being denied a speaking slot for a Palestinian-American speaker.

They received support from a number of Democratic representatives, though,

like Ilhan Omar, Summer Lee, and Alexandria

Ocasio-Cortez.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to suspend his independent campaign for president tomorrow.

Two sources familiar with the plans told CNN is expected to happen at an event in Arizona.
