The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire, as the enclave's largest hospitals are no longer

working.

After weeks of fighting both the Al-Shifa and al-Quds hospitals don't have enough fuel and electricity

and essential units have collapsed.

Doctors at al-Shifa are resisting a mandatory evacuation notice from the Israeli military,

with the Director General of the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry in Gaza, saying that around

700 patients will die if they're left behind.

President Joe Biden says he's concerned about hospitals being targeted.

It is my hope and expectation that there will be less intrusive action relative to the hospital.

The hospital must be protected.

All this comes as Gaza is facing yet another communications blackout by Thursday because of dwindling fuel supplies.

That's according to the Palestinian telecommunications minister who said it will likely make the ongoing

humanitarian crisis much worse by making it harder for

Palestinians to reach emergency, relief, and aid services.
