The truce between Israel and Hamas has been extended, with both sides announcing a seventh day just minutes before it was set to expire.

If Hamas continues to release hostages, ten a day, we will extend the pause.

That was Mark Reggev, a senior advisor to Israel's Prime Minister, laying out the conditions for the truce continuing.

And he says the fighting will start up again if Hamas doesn't keep its side of the bargain.

Israel has told the families of the hostages set to be released today

and says they're once again all women and children.

The truce also means trucks can continue delivering food,

medical supplies and fuel to people in Gaza, although the UN Secretary General

says the amount of aid getting in is still quote completely inadequate. This comes as the

UN estimates 80% of Gaza's population could be internally displaced.

Former US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger has died at the age of a hundred.

Born in Germany, Kissinger escaped Nazi persecution in his youth to become one of the most influential and controversial

foreign policy figures in history, serving as America's top diplomats during the Nixon and

Ford administrations.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin honored his legacy from Tel Aviv this morning.
