Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know for Thursday October 19th.

As Air Strikes Continuing Gaza, there are warnings about fighting further north at the Israel-Lebanon border.

The Israeli military says there's been a quote significant escalation by the armed group Hezbollah,

accusing it of firing missiles into Israel.

Since last Saturday, at least 13 people have been killed

as fighting continues on Lebanon's southern border,

with several countries, including the US, advising citizens not to travel to the country.

CNN's Ben Weedeman is in southern Lebanon with more on the fighting nearby.

Perhaps you can say the water is being kept hot but it's not boiling over because it

would appear that at the moment neither Hezbollah nor Israel want to become

involved in a full-scale war at the moment.

Meanwhile, trucks are preparing to enter Gaza from Egypt with much needed aid.

The WHO's regional director, Dr Richard Brennan, tells CNN that while getting aid into Gaza is complex,

both sides need to cooperate once the trucks go in.

We've got to get up to North Gaza to hospitals to these schools and collective centers where thousands of people are

congregated. So we need those security guarantees so the supplies can be delivered

where they're needed most. In the U.S. officials say President Joe Biden is expected to give a prime time address this
