July 24th. She only launched her 2024 campaign on Sunday, but Carmeler Harris isn't wasting any time, holding her first

rally in Wisconsin last night. It featured similar policies to other speeches that

we've heard from her on the trail for months as President Joe Biden's running

mates.

We'll stop Donald Trump's extreme abortion bans because we trust women to make decisions about their own body and not have their government

tell them what to do.

She went into the event with the backing of dozens of high-profile Democrats, like Senate

Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffries.

I have seen a surge of enthusiasm from every corner of our party uniting behind Vice President

Harris.

Her candidacy has excited and energized the Democratic Party and the nation. But we're also starting to see some of the challenges Harris

will likely face, including questions over immigration, an issue she was put in charge of fixing in the early days of

Biden's presidency.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump's team has filed a complaint with the Federal Election

Commission, trying to stop the money that was raised

for Biden's re-election bid being transferred to Harris's campaign.

And we'll hear from Biden about his decision to drop out later today, as he makes his first public address since his announcement.
