Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know for Tuesday,

November 19th.

As the House Ethics Committee continues to weigh whether to release a report on Matt Gates,

we're learning more about what could be in it.

A lawyer representing two women says as part of the investigation, his clients testified before

the panel.

The testimony before the House was yes yes that Representative Gates paid my client, both of my

clients, for sexual favors throughout the summer of 2017, all the way to the beginning

of 2019.

Joel Leppard also says one of the women told the panel she saw Gates having sex with her then

underage friend in 2017, but said she didn't believe he knew the friend was under 18.

Gates has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. He resigned from Congress when President-elect

Donald Trump announced him as his nominee for Attorney General, which effectively ended the

ethics probe.

But a number of GOP Senators want to see the report, as they get ready to evaluate Gates'

nomination for the position.
