The curriculum covers different chapters in the Book of Numbers, and this is what we are going to study in numbers.

So there are a lot of chapters that we don't read, or you can read, of course, or I, honestly,

I like to at least read the chapter headings because it gives us an idea, and sometimes

it's, you know, it's interesting to go ahead and read some of the other chapters.

But the chapters we're covering are chapters 11 through 14, and then 20 through 24,

and then chapter 27, which doesn't complete the book of numbers. There are a few more chapters

after that, but anyway, this gives us a pretty good taste of what's going on with the children

of Israel in this season. Of course, the name, the Book of Numbers, comes from a census

that is done of Israel. And there was a census taken at Sinai, right? And it was 6003,000, I think,

and change. And then the census that's done before they go into Canaan is like $601,000 and change.

And considering how many times people are destroyed because of their rebellion in the wilderness,

you know, they're only 2,000 short at the end of 40 years.

So they did increase.

And all the adult males, above 20 and over that are military age,

that were there at the foot of Sinai, are killed except for Caleb and Joshua,

which we'll note later, but that whole generation dies off in the wilderness

or in one of the purges that happens because of their rebellion, which is, I mean, it starts to be

kind of cartoonish. Now, I don't want to say that we're a lot better than the children of Israel,

because honestly, we have some of the similar or the same kinds of flaws, maybe not to the degree or to the extent

that is shown by this group of people, but we also, most of us haven't been slaves for
