This week, as we cover Exodus 14 to 18, I hope you realize why I say cover.

It's going to be a light treatment of the Old Testament.

Just some thoughts that occurred to me.

Again, I've recorded Old Testament lessons four years ago when it was the curriculum before this previous time.

And I certainly invite you to go back.

Those are audio only, but they are still available and will be.

So if you want other thoughts or the thoughts that I had then,

which are probably pretty similar to the thoughts I have now,

although I'd like to think that there are a few other things

that occur to us as we study each time, right?

This is recorded before general conference weekend.

I'm finally a little bit ahead and trying to give Doug some breathing room. So I won't have any

comments on conference, although you will have heard conference by the time you hear this. So I'm not

ignoring it. Always a great time to be able to

listen to the words of our leaders and the testimonies of Christ that these special witnesses

bear to us, his people. I will have some things to say after, I'm sure. There have been some changes

announced, as you may know, a new schedule

for our two-hour blocks beginning in September of this year. I was still kind of hoping for

one-hour church, but nobody asked me, so we're going to stick with two hours and just change

the configuration. So it'll be, I don't know,
