Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, in our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

So we're talking spiritual development of our kids on this week's daily, and I hope you're listening every day and telling your parent friends because this is an important week. In fact, there's nothing more important in what we do as parents than instill in

0:26.1

our kids a healthy love, respect, and follow ship of Jesus Christ. He is everything, and we want him to be

0:32.0

their everything in life, because we won't always be here, but he will. Today's topic is another important one in this

1:21.3

talked us into or we knew better but said yes to because we wanted to please them it's hard in our society to say no if

1:30.2

you've followed me for any time you know that I have said that I find it important as a leader

1:35.0

to follow some influencers online who I actually fundamentally disagree with but are clearly

1:41.3

social influencers and clearly loudly speaking into our culture because I need to

1:48.7

know what things I need to be speaking into, what truth I need to be preaching to combat some of

1:55.1

these wrong messages that are going out. The other day, one of these social influencers posted

2:00.2

something about God being a God of yes.

2:04.1

And it wasn't aligned to, or in the context of the scripture about all the promises of God are yes

2:10.1

and amen. It wasn't like that at all. It was this humanistic idea that anything we feel or
