Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, in our heart.

0:07.3

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

0:13.3

Hey, happy Hump Day. I hope it's a good week for you. So God has a lot of things, right?

0:18.0

So many things and so many reasons we love and adore him. And one reason I love

0:22.4

Jesus so much is because he's not like me. I don't know about you, but I am so grateful

0:27.4

Jesus is not impatient like me, fearful like me, inconsistent like me, and something we actually

0:32.9

talked about on Monday that we are, I want to praise God today for being its opposite. I'll tell you more about

0:38.9

that in just a few. So you'll remember on Monday's show, we talked about the benefits of boundaries

0:48.3

0:52.9

boundaries all has to do with our capacity,

0:55.5

we weren't made to have physical capacity to have and help everyone who comes along in our life.

1:07.5

I don't know why God made us to have limits, but he did. I suspect it might be because he

1:12.5

wanted us to have need of him, and man, how much do we? And often, many, many times a day,

1:18.8

I'm reminded of my limits and my capacity. I often wish it weren't so, which I think speaks to that

1:24.8

human desire to be able to do things ourselves. Our flesh dies so hard,

1:30.3

doesn't it? But God, on the other hand, is limitless. He has no boundary. Before the world began,

1:37.6

there was God. Before anything that was made was made, there was God. God has never not existed,

1:43.9

nor will he never not exist. He is infinite,

1:47.3

which are finite brains can't even comprehend. I know. I've tried to think about infinity,

1:52.9

and it's just too much of a brain explosion, so I can't even think about it, literally. But God

1:57.5

himself is not only limitless, but his capacity for us, every human, is also limitless.
