Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five day a week daily devotional where we share the word prayers in our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

Well, happy October. It's fall. Where I live, the leaves begin to turn this month, and it finally starts cooling off, and I am here for

all of that. I'm calling October on the Five Word Prayers Daily, our growing up, moving on month,

and I'm also here for this, because I'm at the point in my life where I want to get better.

I really want to grow up about some things, mature, and move on from some things in my life,

and I decided to talk about some of them on the show this month

because I know from talking with so many of you as I travel around and online, these are things

you would love to grow up and move on from too. Speaking of online, our first week this month

will be dedicated to just that. And yes, we've talked about social media on here before, but I'm

not sure we could talk about it enough because here before, but I'm not sure we

could talk about it enough because it's something that affects us all so deeply in 2018.

So this week, we're going to look at some no-holds-barred social media strategies to help us

grow up a little, maybe move on from some things, and hopefully get a little healthier in this

thing that affects so much

of our daily life.

I already know that this week's worth of shows will be highly listened to because talking

about social media just doesn't get old.

It's like we all know we need all the help we can get. I was just at an

event and the coordinator said to the women in the room, I touched my phone 700 times a day.

And everyone kind of quietly, nervously laughed. And then she said, I'm not kidding. And sort of

hush fell over the room because everyone could relate. The truth is, we adults look down on the younger generation sometimes for their use of smartphones and social media,
