I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

I'm thrilled to welcome our guest host to the show today, Haley Morgan, who I've never met in person.

Can you believe that?

But I sure hope to remedy that soon because I

sure love her from afar. Haley is a writer, speaker, and the author of a new book, Preach to

yourself. She's written some other things too, by the way, and I'm kind of fond of the fact she

runs Nellie Taft, an online boutique featuring clothes only made in this country, which is a pretty huge thing, by the way.

She's a wife and mom of four boys. Man, that's full time. And she's coming on here today to do a little

soul investing in us in our week of soul care. And I can't wait to hear her wisdom. Haley, it's all

yours.

Some days even before my coffee and Pop-Tart, I've had 1,000 thoughts, and not all of them altogether good or even in agreement with each other.

How chaotic and confusing.

This internal frustration can oftentimes keep me from obeying God in the small

but important things he asks of me. See, when I let my mind go wild, I've already expended

all my energy chasing after the loops of bad news playing in my head. I have found that it's

incredibly difficult to tame our minds. It's like my heart doesn't want to believe what my mind knows to be true.

I believe that God is good, but I'm filled with worry.

I believe that God is enough for me, but I battle feeling less than others.

I even believe that God will provide for me, but really in the back of my mind, I can't stop thinking

about where the money is going to come from. I don't know what it might be for you, but I can bet

that your mind feels noisy and frustrating too. We just live in a time where we're inundated
