Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five day a week, daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart. I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent. When is too much inspiration, teaching, and motivation too much? Is there such a thing? I mean, can we overload from all the online motivation

we take in? Every day we open up Instagram, Facebook, and yeah, occasionally Twitter, though it's not

usually that encouraging these days, right? But we're bombarded with streams of quotes and verses and

come to this conference and that. And look, I want to say right up front that I contribute

to that. I love to encourage with memes and I use quotes on social media and I talk about

ministry strong and our retreats that we do. And I love to equip and train. So please hear me.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of that. And in fact, I believe social media used this way

is used for good. So here's the issue I want to discuss. With all of these options, though,

can we get caught up in sort of an inspiration addiction? And is this good for our soul?

So interesting conversation, I think, on the Five Word Prayers Daily today. And something I don't think a lot of people are talking about, but I want to dive into it because we should talk

about all the things to get them in the open, especially because I know you guys experience

because we're all in this social media pool together. Some days, I'm overwhelmed, honestly.

thank you. And really, and truly, on any given day, any of us could read inspiration all day

long. But isn't really helping our soul. Is it really reaching down there and doing something for us?

On one hand, I would say for me, yes. Sometimes I'll read a quote online and it will touch me

in a deep way. It'll be just what I need that very day and I'll be so grateful. I feel like it was
