Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five day a week, daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart. I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent. Happy September, one of my favorite months because two of my kids were born this month, and I have an anniversary this month. What do you have going on this

month? Probably a lot. September seems to be another one of those crazy busy months. Are any

months not crazy? I think they all are. But I'm excited about this month because we have some great

guests and some rich topics I believe you won't want to miss. And this Friday, we have a

powerful Friday 5 on Five Ways to Study the Word with an amazing giveaway for the first time for

this community. So make sure you listen for that. So, so exciting. One of our last days in the

Philippian study was about how God helps us, and that is really the help

we need in life. That's our strategy for pulling all the hard things off. And I thought it might

be good to springboard into a further conversation about specific help we need from God this week,

up today, appropriately on Labor Day, how God can help us with our job.

Yeah, it's a grind sometimes.

The boss is hard to work for, all the things.

We need God to help us.

Let's be honest, we all struggle sometimes in our job.

The boss is demanding or doesn't like us for some reason.

Our coworkers aren't great to be around or don't pull their weight. Or maybe it just doesn't fulfill us in the way we want and we're doing it because we need the money.

But we so badly wish we could find or do something else. I think all of us listening have been in this place at some point,

and certainly I can relate because many times work feels like work, and there's really no way

around it. So let me say this quickly, that this show isn't about should or shouldn't you leave a job.

That's for another show, and we've talked some on here about knowing

God's will for your life and things like that. But quickly, I do want to say that if you continue
