Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the

0:05.7

word, prayers, in our heart. I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me,

0:10.2

which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent. We're finishing up our week of inspiration

0:15.0

today. Don't worry, we have a show tomorrow, but it's the fun Friday five. And today I want to

0:20.3

talk about something if I'm not

0:21.8

careful, I have a pile of. In fact, I can go down a road and before I know it, I've started

1:06.2

and I can become so engrossed in my regret that I miss time with my family or take out my angst

1:11.8

over something I'm thinking about and regret with them. Sometimes my regret can cause me to spiral.

1:17.9

I feel embarrassed over something I've done or wish I'd done this or hadn't acted this way

1:23.0

or whatever the case may be. And it's all just so unhealthy. I think moms deal with a lot of regrets,

1:29.6

if we're honest. As the kids get older, you see things you wish you'd done differently, or what

1:35.3

if I'd done that? Maybe they wouldn't struggle in this way. Maybe they'd be a different person,

1:39.6

or maybe they wouldn't have gone down this road. I know and can remember, even when my oldest was a

1:43.8

baby, I felt regret almost from the
