Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five day a week, daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

I'm about to step on your toes, maybe, so here's a quick heads up.

When was the last time you told someone about Jesus? Listen, I'm stepping on my own toes here too, but we're talking joy this month and what brings true joy?

And if you've ever told someone about Jesus, you know that there's nothing more exciting or thrilling than getting to share that good news.

It's just a rush like none other, truly is.

And then to lead others to Jesus by praying with them, oh my,

forget about it. That's another world. So continuing on in our series through Philippians,

let's talk about the joy and testifying about Jesus and how we can do more of that.

I think I talked on here before about how when I was younger, our youth group went on a mission trip to Canada and how we did some street witnessing.

And I was so on fire for God, I remember, and so excited about the people I led to Christ

that I sort of drugged them over to our group afterwards and said loudly to my youth leader,

I got two more. Not the best

thing to say for sure. My youth leader was so great. I remember he only gently whispered to me,

hey, you might not want to say it that way. I would have been much more aggressive with it with a kid,

but he saw my passion and zeal for two people making a

decision to follow Christ in that moment, moving from death to life. And that's really the kind of

joy telling others about Jesus brings. I know it's true because I've experienced it firsthand in

Canada that time and other times in my life as well. And you know what I'm talking about.

You've done it too. Paul in chapter one of Philippians,

and particularly verses 12 through 14, really reminds us that no matter where we are, in any and

every circumstance, we can share Christ and help others find Him. And in that, it will bring us
