Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

I know, I know. Some of you have been with me all week this week, talking leadership.

You heard Monday's show on how we are called to follow and lead in some way,

and you're still not convinced you're actually a leader? Well, today I hope to put that thought to rest

once and for all as we talk about the ways we practice everyday leadership, no matter what your

personality type is. And trust me when I say, you're leading right now whether you know it or not. So now that

you know that, you might want to go back and listen to the leadership podcast we've covered this week,

right? Yeah, I think it would be worth your time.

I've often said, I don't think I went to school to get my psychology degree to do anything with

it other than use it on my kids because I've used it a ton in this 20 years of parenting.

I tell you, it wasn't a waste for that reason alone. I sort of wish there were a lifestyle

leadership school we could all go to or at least take some classes because we need to know

how to lead in our daily lives, not just in running

companies. I could have used some leadership training before having kids. I think that might have

been the way to go rather than trying to read a bunch of parenting books, although some of them

were pretty helpful because the truth is leading is something that takes on different forms in our

lives, but carries with it the same general principles.

So learning how to lead is invaluable, I think. You might not think you lead, but you do, and I

want to tell you how. First of all, you lead in attitude. My women out there listening,

especially, you have such influence and power and yes leadership in the way you carry

yourself and your attitude towards things you literally have the power to sway people to do things
