Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week, daily devotional where we share the

0:05.8

word, prayers, in our heart. I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me,

0:10.4

which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent. Lately, I've been concerned about some

0:15.4

trends I've seen in leaders, particularly Christian leaders. It's been showing up quite a bit on

0:19.9

social media and things I've

0:21.2

seen posted. And while social media is such a double-edged sword, I think we can tell a lot about

0:26.7

all of us by the things we post, especially the things we post consistently. And I'm looking at

1:13.6

at me. I'm such a great leader, because I have a long way to go, and this makes me check myself.

1:18.9

Also, last note before I list the red flags, the things I'm listing to look at are things

1:24.5

done consistently. So if you see it done once, that's probably not something to get

1:29.5

worked up over or concerned about. It's the overtime consistently done things you observe,

1:35.3

like we talked about doing on the show yesterday, observation. Okay, so red flags. Number one,

1:41.4

if the leader talks about loyalty and honor consistently.

1:45.7

Now, look, I believe in loyalty. I believe in honor. I'm a hugely loyal person, almost to a
