Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the

word, prayers, and I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I

trust and pray will be five minutes well spent. Hashtag goals. I admit I use this with pictures I post on

0:16.7

Instagram and other places a lot of us do. We We have goals these days and I'm a goal-oriented

person myself. Lately, I was thinking about a goal I have for myself when it comes to my

1:23.4

I'm sure you can relate to this. The goal of Christianity ultimately is to become more like him,

1:28.9

for us to change to the degree we are moving closer and closer to emulating the perfect one

1:35.0

we love. We won't ever be him. We can't ever be perfect. But the more we walk with him,

1:41.6

the closer we walk with him, the more we resemble him, I believe.

1:45.3

We take on Christ-like qualities.

1:48.7

Pastor Rick Warren said it like this.

1:50.3

The Bible says, as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him

1:55.0

and reflect his glory even more, 2. Corinthians 318.
