Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, in our heart.

0:07.2

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

0:13.0

So today I want to talk to you about something we all have, we all sort of don't always like from others,

0:18.0

and we all probably need to do a better job of managing at times.

0:21.4

I have any idea what I'm talking about? Stick around and we'll get into it because I have some

0:26.1

feelings about this. We're talking opinions today. We all have them. We all kind of get tired of

0:36.9

them from others, if we're honest,

0:38.1

0:59.4

their page wall, wherever it was, I can't even remember where I was actually when I saw it.

1:04.3

And it wasn't super controversial like about politics or anything, but it really was just an

1:09.9

inspirational something that obviously

1:12.2

someone did not agree with that read it. Surprising, right? So that person proceeded, the person

1:20.0

that read it, proceeded to then write their opinion and go into this long comment to disagree

1:25.9

with them. And it just hit me, why do people feel like they need to say

1:31.3

something so often, often about something that is really kind of benign? I mean, this was not

1:37.9

this commenter's wall or social media space. It was someone else's. The person wasn't asking them to enter the conversation.

1:47.8

In fact, it really wasn't a conversation at all. It was the person simply saying, hey, this is how I feel

1:52.4

about something I want to share with you. It was very simple. It was a very sort of benign statement
