Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five day a week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart.

0:07.9

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

Man, this is going to be a great week on the Five Word Prayers Daily because we're talking friendship, and in particular, female friendships.

0:21.8

But if you're a guy,

0:26.9

don't go anywhere because if you have a female in your life, you need to be really up on this to know what's going on with the female in your life and what she struggles with. Because

0:31.2

trust me, at some point, she will probably come to you and talk about it.

1:20.6

1:25.4

best friend and an in-town best friend and both of them provide something for me and friendship that is invaluable to me.

1:32.1

My far-away best friend is one I've had for 24 years, Colleen.

1:36.4

She lives in another state.

1:37.6

We met in seminary, and we talk every morning around 7 to 45, like clockwork, except on the weekends when we honor the families being

1:45.5

home. We met in seminary, actually, introduced each other to each other's husbands, and were the

1:51.3

maids of honor in each other's wedding, of course. What else? And then Wendy, who is my in-town

1:56.8

best friend, has now been for 13 years since our middle boys were four and met in preschool.

2:02.7

How cute is that? They became best friends and then we couples followed suit and now Wendy's

2:07.9

husband and my husband are best friends and so are Wendy and I and we as couples vacation together
