Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five day a week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

Well, I have a super-duper power punch for you today. Her name is Marshawn Evans, and if you don't know her, you should, because she is

amazing. This woman comes with the goods. She is a former Miss America finalist, a pro sports

attorney, a former competitor on The Apprentice for all you TV watchers out there, and she left a

high-powered law firm to help teach us about finding bigger purpose in our lives.

She's written a book to expand upon that passion called Believe Bigger, and I know there are

some of you out there today needing to believe bigger in your life than where you currently are.

I love the verse in Isaiah where Jesus says, see, I'm doing a new thing. And I pray that today's show

might be the spark of a new thing

for you as our guest Marshawn teaches and inspires us all. Bring it, woman. Let's go.

Challenge me to believe bigger. What an unlikely prayer to pray. Oftentimes we pray for comfort

and we can find ourselves actually praying away the very process that is necessary to propel us

into our purpose. The Bible says in Romans 12, first two, that we should be transformed by the

renewing of our mind. By elevating our thinking, we can step into a place of elevated living.

But let's just be honest and keep it all the way real. Doing that is not easy. And in fact, if you're serious about living out your purpose

and living a life worthy of the calling that you have received, the truth is the process will most

likely be ugly. Just a few years ago, I found myself in what I thought was the center of God's perfect will for my life.

I was running this very successful sports agency that I had started, managing pro athletes in the NFL and the NBA.

It quickly grew to become the fastest growing women on sports agency in less than a year.

And I had this vision about how it was going to be this woman-owned sports

agency and we were going to change the world. On top of that, I had a book out at the time,
