Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five day a week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

There's something I think a lot of us are walking around with, and some of us might know it, but we don't know what it's called.

Others of us don't realize it at all. But recognizing

it and having God do something with it, we change the way we walk through the rest of life.

I want to name it and deal with it today.

I have someone I've been observing online for quite a while, and I can never put my finger on what I believe their issue was.

Now, before I go any further, let me say this. No, I'm not talking about you, because, man, do we always figure out a way to make every post an online statement about us somehow when, in actuality, it probably never is.

And I also want to say that I don't make it a habit of constantly assessing other people online

as I would simply not have enough hours in the day to do that, nor do I at my age have enough

cares. Man, did I just admit that out loud? But I will admit that I'm a former psychology student.

I studied that in college and grad school both. So I am fascinated with the behavior of people.

And I am also observant. And the Holy Spirit helps me discern things in this area as well.

But in this case, this person I had been observing left a lot of crumbs, if you know what I mean.

I mean, it didn't take a lot to assess by all the posts and statements and things that were

being said, that there was something underlining at all, which is another thing about social

media, by the way, friends.

I think we mistakenly believe that people aren't onto us a lot of times

by what we post and what we say when, in fact, they really are. We're not that hard to figure

out. So after some time, I finally put my finger on it and I realized it was that this person

had a damaged narrative. Therefore, everything they preached or suggested

or even just kind of casually said flowed out of that. And I think a lot of us are walking around
