Hi, and welcome to the Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray, will be five minutes well spent.

So we're continuing our social media emphasis week, and if you've not listened to Monday or Tuesday, I hope you'll go back and do that.

But today we're

going to get into something I find of utmost importance with our online life because it's

something that gets us in the most trouble and that, my friends, is worth having a conversation

about. Hold that thought and I'll come back to discuss it.

Ooh. back to discuss it. I started to say, I wish I had a dollar for every time someone told me they'd gotten into a mess

online and their interactions with people.

But the truth is, I don't wish this, because far too much money would be collected over a lot of sorrow, over relationships that have been gotten into online that should never have been, and fights that had happened online that should never have happened. And social media has sadly been a real conduit for marriages breaking up and other relationships breaking up

and all kinds of things like that. And here's something I want you to know. Social media is not

evil. It's not a bad thing or a good thing. It's something that can be used for good or for bad

depending upon how we as people use it. We can interact with

people in a healthy way, or we can interact with people in a toxic way, and that is our responsibility,

and social media itself is not to blame. One of the things the Lord told us in 2nd Timothy

found in chapter 4 and verse 5 is to keep a clear mind in every

situation. We need wisdom from the Lord to help us interact well with people online since much of our

online time is spent doing just that, interacting. Here are a couple of ways I think that we get

into trouble online. The first way think that we get into trouble online.

The first way is that we get into arguments.

It amazes me how we awesome level-headed people turn into juveniles, I think, at times

online and say horrible things to each other, fight, criticize, unfriend.
