Hi, and welcome to Five Word Prayers Daily, a five day a week daily devotional where we share the word, prayers, and our heart.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

Happy March 1st. Can you even believe we're already to March? Wow. So because we are in the middle of our week's study of

the word commitment, we're going to go ahead and finish that up. And today we're talking about

a subject that is wonderful for some, painful for others, and flat out hard for most of us,

I'd say. Yeah, we're talking commitment and marriage and full disclosure. I don't do the shows

that come easy for me.

I do the shows God leads me to do so we can all grow and learn, right?

I sure do need help in this area so often.

I want to give us some practical things today to help us in marriage, so let's get right to it.

Oh, ooh. Now look, if you know me or have followed me for any time on social media, you know that I don't

write too much about marriage for a couple reasons. One, my husband is really not on social

media much, if at all,

in some places. And two, I find marriage to be quite difficult, and I feel very inadequate

doling out a lot of marriage advice if I'm being completely honest. My husband and I have been

married 22 years, and some have been great and some have been really tough and I'm not going to sugarcoat that.

We are two strong, passionate personalities and that is a quite interesting combination in a marriage.

But I love my husband very much and I don't want to avoid talking about a subject on here just

because it's a difficult one for me and because I don't talk about it very much.

So Vice President Pence made quite a stir last year when he talked about not dining alone with women who aren't his wife.

Remember that?

And I'm definitely not on here to debate that or anything else when it comes to politics.
