I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

Does God know you love him? Think about that for a minute. How does he know?

If you were to ask God today, Father, how do you know I love you? What would his

answer be? It's kind of interesting to think about, isn't it? And I think our answers might be a lot of

things like, well, I do this and I do that, actions that we do. But what if we're missing a key

element to how we show God, we really love him?

It's interesting, if you've ever read the book, The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman, which is a good book, by the way.

You know that different people have different languages, so to speak, when it comes to love, according to Dr. Chapman, which is a good book, by the way. You know that different people have different

differently. My husband definitely has the love language of quality time. So he likes to hang out

together. And it's his way of feeling love by me when I ride with him somewhere, even just to go get coffee

at Starbucks or whatever.

I need to do better at this, actually.

My love language is words of affirmation.

No big surprise there, right?

As a wordy.

But when my husband speaks that love language to me, it sort of fills up my love tank.

So obviously, as humans, it's important we speak

each other's language, so to speak, so we can understand each other and get from each other

what we need in a relationship. But God is not like us, and he doesn't have human needs. Rather,
