I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

It's day two of our look at the word love, one of our favorite words, right?

And today is going to be all about something we don't like when other people do to us.

We have sometimes done to others,

and we need to all do a much better job

of not doing all together when it comes to love.

I think I've confused myself.

Well, I'll be back in just a few seconds

The theologian and philosopher Augustine once said this.

What does love look like?

It has hands to help others.

It has feet to hasten to the poor and needy.

It has eyes to see misery and want.

It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of man. That is what love looks like.

And this struck me immediately when I read it because the definition is one that is not only beautiful,

but I think describes my kind of my view of selflessness, a death to self,

which has to be driven from love, but also describes Jesus, the love in which we model our life

after. And if I were to boil all these things down, hands to help others, feet to hasten to the
