I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

Well, we live in a noisy world, and it's tough sometimes to know how to navigate sharing our faith, speaking out

and up for Jesus without being accused of adding to the noise. So I want to talk about that today.

So I wrote a blog post back in June called How to Speak Up for Jesus without becoming that Christian jerk.

And it got quite a reaction from people.

So we'll put that link in the show notes.

You can go to read it if you want to do that.

But basically, it talked about that moment when we're faced with a decision. Do I remain silent or do I speak up?

And if I speak up, how do I do that in a way that's effective and not adding to the noise of this

world? Because remember, as we speak and share the gospel of Jesus, the goal is that people listen and hear

and give their hearts to Christ.

It's not so we can hear ourselves talk or be loud or be heard for the sake of just being

heard.

And sometimes I think we forget that.

We don't have time in now less than five minutes to dive into all the how to speak.

The Bible has all the wisdom on that, and I've compiled some of its great insight in my book,

Put Your Warrior Boots on, which the link for will also be in the show's notes.

But I want to quickly just talk about a few things that I hope will help us as we think

about speaking up for Jesus, sharing our faith, even today,

as we may encounter an opportunity to do just that. Hebrews 1039 says this, but we are not of

those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.
