Hi, and welcome to Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the

word, prayers, and our heart. I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me,

which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent. We're going to be talking today about

one of my favorite things about Jesus, something I've always appreciated about him, but especially in this

crazy world we live in, I've come to appreciate more and more. We'll dive right in after this.

Well, like you, there are a lot of things I love about Jesus.

I've been a believer since I was six years old.

Someone asked me recently if I would share my coming to know Jesus story, and I will do that soon on here.

I would love to.

But I truly don't remember my life without him.

I was born into a pastor's family, been raised in the church,

and so I've been with Jesus for a long time. I love a lot of things about him. I love the way

he has been furious and relentless in his pursuit of me, that all the times I've walked away

from him, he has always kept calling me back.

I love the fact that every time I ask him to forgive me the hundredth time for that same sin,

he has never said no or held it against me or used it as leverage.

That's just not who he is.

And who else is like that on the face of this earth?

No one.

I love that he knows everything about me. I love that he knows my parents, my history. He knows every tear, every joy, every need, every thought. I love that

he's the best friend I've ever had in my entire life. I could literally talk for hours about my

favorite subject, Jesus, and all the things I love
