I want to begin just by talking about stories a little bit.

I don't know if we realize how big of a part stories play in all of our lives.

I personally love stories of all kind. I love stories. I'm a nerd kind of in general.

But I love stories in books. I love listening to stories on podcasts.

I love watching stories in movies. There's just something captivating about a story.

Even my kids, from the moment that they understood that a story was a thing that existed,

they cannot go to sleep without it. It doesn't matter where we are, what time it is,

if there's even a nap to be taken. If they're about to fall asleep in the car,

they're like, that I'm going to fall asleep, can you read me a story, though?

They love stories. And all of us love stories to some degree.

And we like talking about stuff. Here's the thing, though. It's not just stories in podcasts,

or in books, or in movies, or TV shows. We always tell stories even to one another.

Stories is, that's part of the way we make sense of the world.

You've probably told a few stories today. So if you saw somebody maybe before the service started,

and they said, hey, how was your week? You started to tell a story.

You said, well, okay. One day I went to work and I wanted to slap my boss,

but I didn't. And then I made it through the day, or maybe you said, yeah,

then on Wednesday, I got to flat tie you and I custom, I repented.

And you go through these different, you know, that's how you make sense of the world.

We tell stories to one another. There's a question I have for you, though.

Not just a story of your week, not just a story of your day.
