Aloha, welcome back to the Anxiety Coaches Podcast. In today's episode, I wanted to offer six tips for that dizzy, unbalanced, and light-headed anxiety feeling that you get or the

symptoms that you get. I hope these will be helpful for you. It comes up a lot. This

dizzy unbalanced and light-headed feeling from anxiety can be very off-putting. So if you've ever encountered these

feelings or sensations you know how easy it can be to jump to the conclusion

that there is really something wrong with you and that you need immediate

attention. Now of course you may need to go and let your doctor know about these things at your next visit and you want to keep

track of it if it's something that it keeps coming and going. Obviously we want to touch in with our medical provider and let them know. But what

happens to the anxious person is we jump right to a conclusion that there's something dreadfully

wrong with us right now and we need immediate attention and what does that do of

course that fuels the already over-stimulated fight or flight system.

And now those feelings intensify. We have thrown more logs on that fire and what is this and what are we going to do about it?

If you are feeling this and you know that you've jumped to the conclusion and gotten scared,

what we do is we really re-ignite the amygdala and those stress hormones get roaring.

So what is this about and what are we going to do about it?

Breathing normally or naturally is oxygen coming in, right, and carbon dioxide going out.

And this is how balance is maintained, okay, in our body because we have certain levels of oxygen and

certain levels of carbon dioxide that we need to keep balanced in our body.

We do that through breathing and because when those things are off, that's when we can feel dizzy, unbalanced and light-headed, right?

So when we're anxious, our breathing rate increases.
