If you're struggling right now, I feel you. I just challenge you to lean in, right?

0:03.5

Seek out the challenge, embrace the discomfort. And you know, and you'll ultimately find a flow

0:07.1

in that. And in the flow is where you'll create a business and a life that's actually worth,

0:10.9

you know, fighting for. What up guys, fitness business podcast. Jordan here, your co-host.

0:16.0

Welcome back. Today I'm going to share with you a bunch of good stuff, but ultimately why you have to be a little

0:21.1

bit crazy to keep owning and running a business. And I say to keep running a business because most

0:26.1

people actually, a lot of people start businesses, but very few people actually stick with them

0:30.0

long term. And the reason for that is the game is pretty fucking brutal. I mean, statistically

0:34.1

speaking, half of all businesses fail within five years. And 66% don't even make it to year 10. Okay, so it's not for the feign of heart. All right. And let me take you back to when I was just, I think eight or nine years old. I remember one night, I woke up at like 3 a.m. to the sound of my dad crying. And he was in the kitchen. And we lived in a really small house. My room was pretty close to the kitchen. And so I walk in and I ask him like, what's wrong? And he admitted that he didn't know how he was going to make payroll.

Okay. And worse, this was in November. And so he was realizing that he had to lay employees

1:01.8

off right before Christmas. And I remember this conversation because he told me,

1:05.1

look, dude, don't start a business. Now, he said that when he was in the heat of the moment.

1:08.6

He's always encouraged me towards entrepreneurship. but it was actually some of the best advice that I could receive because I knew

1:14.0

exactly what I was signing up for, getting to witness him and go through all these struggles

1:18.2

and tribulations. You know, you don't really know what it's like to run a business unless

1:22.3

you're in your living room, hands in your head, no idea what to do next, no idea how you're going to get out of the

1:27.7

mess that you're in. And that's ultimately what business is. And it's, you know, it's like a

1:32.6

constant barrage of uncertainty, lawsuits, struggling to make payroll, upset clients,

1:38.5

employees quitting, people screwing you over, right? It can be a miserable game. And you have to be

1:42.2

a little bit of a masochist to even enjoy it.

1:44.7

All right. So today I'm going to share with you, number one, how to know if entrepreneurship

1:47.7

might not be for you. And the number two, how you can actually train your mind to be able to
