Welcome to this week's episode of the Rise Podcast. Today we're going to dig

0:05.6

into a topic that really really hurts a lot of us women and it's something we

0:12.6

don't often think about being dangerous and that's judging other women. It's the

0:19.9

kind of thing that starts with harmful gossip or maybe talking about someone

0:24.7

else behind their back or maybe even just judging them in your own head. But

0:29.3

that kind of mentality breeds into something so much worse and keeps us from

0:35.5

the community that we're craving. So let's unpack this idea of judgment, the

0:42.2

0:47.7

0:51.8

anywhere audiobooks are sold or you can borrow it from your local library for free.

1:31.9

glory. None of this would be such an epic admission for me to make except that I

1:37.5

once made fun of a girl in freshman year English class for doing this exact

1:42.7

thing. Blargh. I feel like such a jerk even now 150 years later. Friends, let me

1:52.3

paint a quick picture of myself in high school. I was a solid 20 pounds heavier. I

1:58.2

wore clothes from the Goodwill and I was the president of the drama club. I

2:03.0

wasn't someone who teased others. I was someone who got teased. But there was

2:09.8

that one instance when I did tease the one and only time in my memory that I

2:16.4

actively made fun of someone else. Maybe that's why it sticks out in my brain.
